Re: What Kind Of Truck Do You Drive?
Not exactly a pick up, but I drive an 06 Chevy Tahoe. 18 mpg, very comfortable ride.

Re: What Kind Of Truck Do You Drive?
I was surfing around Truck Paper when I found this:
http://www.truckpaper.com/listings/d...D322F3FBE458EE I can't believe it's only $5900! It's really clean and in great shape. Only has 64,000 miles on it. For the money I think this would be a great HVAC and electrical truck after I'm done w/ school. It even has an automatic and the tires look to be in decent shape. Wish I had the space to keep it until I'm done w/ school.

I wonder what the MPG would be on that beast.

Re: What Kind Of Truck Do You Drive?
I'm guessing 4 to 6 MPG since it's a big heavy truck w/ a 429 V-8.
I can't get over how nice this thing is for the money. The dealer emailed me some interior pics. Check em out: |

Re: What Kind Of Truck Do You Drive?
Cargo box has some rust on the floor. Nothing a little sandblasting and Rhino lining won't fix.
Overall I think it's a real clean, straight truck. Wish I could have it.

Looks like a heavy-duty ambulance truck size too.

Re: What Kind Of Truck Do You Drive?
I don't think there's anything light duty about that truck. It all looks beefy. Ex-muni truck would be my guess. It's been taken care of, for sure.

Re: What Kind Of Truck Do You Drive?
Well I figured it was an ex-muni truck because of the gas engine.
I figured it was taken care of because it isn't rotted out, dented, scratched, and 3 different colors. Apparently though that's completely false. Please enlighten me with your conclusions. |

Re: What Kind Of Truck Do You Drive?
I pulled a three year stint working as the carpenter at a state institution.
I ate lunch everyday with the mechanic responsible for all fleet vehicle maintenance. Let's just say he talked me out of buying any of his vehicles at auction. Oh, he fixed 'em fine, it was the other "variables" he didn't like. |

Re: What Kind Of Truck Do You Drive?
I know what you mean, I wouldn't buy a truck from Moscow, Lewiston, or Clarkston. Genesee takes good care of their trucks, I know the mechanic. Pullman gets their stuff fixed at the dealer and the state highway sheds in Lewiston and Kendrick take real good care of their trucks. I'd have no problem buying any of their rigs.
