Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

Here's my first draft. Please give me your opinions on:

- truck lettering
- what to put on tool boxes. I just put those 5 services up right now. I know less is better, but I have the tool box empty so just wanna put something up there.

Thank you

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

Wording and logo looks good but i think your colors are off and hard to read on the door!

get rid of the # and scrible on the back quarter panel, put your web site above the fender flare! And the phone # on the door!

and try some more black on the color of the words!

other than that LOOKS GOOD!!

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

The DOT number on your fender needs to be visible from 50'. Go with 3" high letters.

I personally like the stripe, it's eyecatching but not tacky. Tough to pull off.

If your toolbxes are diamond tread and not smooth it may be tough to get the vinyl to lay down right.

I agree with the above: I like the graphic on the back too, not the blue so much, maybe just need a different color. The vinyl on the diamond plate will be VERY TOUGH to maintain. I would say you already have the logo on the door kind of. Try to duplicate that exactly on the door panel. and work with the yellow stripe on the bed.

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

haha, hilarious!

Thanks Bob & Larry. My logo on website (coming soon) business card is this color. I guess I can change to different color if I want to. But that'll take me a while since I'm not good at color matching to see which goes with what.

Larry, what you mean by hard to maintain? I tried sticking some sample letter on the box. It seemed okay but not sure if it'll peel off in the long run.

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

Because of the diamond plate, the vinyl does not lay well over it. It will peel off over a short period of time. Seems as if you are repeating your logo twice. Since you already have the logo on the door, keep that and just use the yellow on the back with the PH number. Your business cards don't have that portions, right? So its OK to modify it. So just remove the right angel from the back section and you are set. Make sure the company installs the lettering on the diamond plate. You can repair or replace that in the future if it keeps pealing. Or you can go with a sign attached to the boxes instead.

If you don't mind saying, or you can PM me, what is that going to cost? I got a price of $325 for mine. 3 Sides.

Took me a while to find a sign shop that had the skill to create what I needed done. I went through three shops before finding the true pro. So here is how she turned out. I just got her back tonight.

System One Contractor Rack. All aluminum, something like a 1000 lbs capacity. Very nicely built in my opinion.

Yea, I wanted to get them too! But price was a factor, something I can easily add later.

However, for truck boxes, you can't beat Weatherguard. They have a super high side box, or something like that, about 24" tall, 16" deep...I think LeoG has them on his work truck.

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

I like my vehicles clean and no lettering. I blend into the neighborhood with my suburban and it looks no different than any other vehicle in the neighborhood. I think my customers like it that no one can tell they are getting work done (at least if it's on the inside) I've never had a number in the telephone book. If they can't find my number, they just call my Mom.
