$804.97 worth of cut vinyl. Am I being too fussy if I complain over a few bubbles and wrinkles? Over all I am pleased

Clean and simple, I think. Only have the web address at the bottom of the liftback.

Is it just me, or do those pictures look like the graphics are just computer generated? Super-imposed onto an existing picture?

The logos don't look like they contour with the curvature of the car and some of the lines and text don't jive with some of the car's transitions.

In particular, look at this photo of the rear of the car. The two graphics on either side of the bumper don't 'wrap' around with the curve of said bumper.

Could just be me.

They call it "cast" vinyl, supposedly the good stuff. I will be calling the manager in a couple of days after my local peers have had a chance to look at it; apparently they also changed the spacing on the passenger side w/o my permission. I think I got the new guy

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

I have nothing on my vehicle or trailer, I like it that way.
Everyone in town knows its me anyways, kind of stick out in a big 3/4 ton Suburban with blacked out windows anyways.

People seek me out, they dont call out of the phone book, just to kick some tires. I ran 2 phone book ads one year, barley got enough work from it to
pay for it, probably wasted more time answering calls from morons.

No advertised phone numbers in the book, anyone that calls me gets my number from me or past and current customers.

I guess it is a small town thing.

FIVE STAR, I like your sprinter, it looks pretty sweet.

Rory, dont lie, you got an 86 Eldo all lettered up for your pimpin buisness!!

And it's terrible at that, too.

It looks very, very schlocky to me. Way too much small type. On a sedan, no less.

If you are going to letter something as small as a Nissan Altima, you should keep it short, sweet and classy.

The rear end has so much type on it, it's a mess. Those artistic blobs on the bumpers are useless.

Without being harsh, the whole thing is just tacky and unprofessional looking. I would spend $500 and pay a graphic designer to "design" something that looks professional. Not something you made in MS Publisher or Word.

OK. I'm a jerk. But he asked for opinions and that's mine.

Don't know what to put back there, yet.

And I kid you not, on my way to the sign shop this morning, merging from a freeway on-ramp onto another freeway I cut some dude off (I didn't really, I had my blinker on and saw him quite a distance back, he sped up, past me on the left shoulder and slammed on the brakes, came to a dead stop in front of me leaned his entire upper torso out of the window flipped me off and started screaming, I shrugged my shoulders, sat and waited for what seemed five minutes until he slowly started moving along, waiting for the opportunity to pop me, I'm sure. Dumb bad ash dude in a gold SUV with those low profile wheels..... gang-banger type who never had a real job in his life to be sure. Made me scratch my head and wonder if I really did want my phone number on the truck. Think I'll carry a pipe wrench next to me in the cab from now on.

I carry a "pipe wrench" when I drive... its also called an XD40... In a couple of weeks I will be adding a "baseball bat" also known as a 40 cal sig p226. I probably wont carry both at the same time... but you never know.

My stuff is a mock up as I originally posted. I was looking for opinions on mine BEFORE I letter it. It was done with Publisher.

I am liking the other trucks here! Glad I started this thread. One thing though. If you have one, PUT YOUR WEB SITE UP.

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

I haven't noticed a lot of DOT#'s on the vehicles posted. How did you guys get away with not having any? Anything with a GCWR over 10,000lbs that's used for
business has to have it as far as I know. My F-150 has a 6,450GVWR and a 6,000lb towing capacity so my GCWR is 12,450lbs. I have to have commercial plates
and DOT #'s. Are you guys buying 9,000lb tags for your rigs to keep under the radar?

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

Bob, it's regulated by the state you're in. The basic general information from the USDOT is here. See this link for Idaho's regulations.

Also, I believe in most case it is GVWR which only includes your trailer tongue weight, not the complete trailer.

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

If you ever want a migraine read the DOT regs. That is some dense confusing stuff. I bought 13,000lb tags for my F-150 and stuck a DOT# on it just to be safe.
My understanding is that the manufacturers GVW doesn't matter as much as what the truck is tagged for, in theory I could buy 150,000lb tags and an IFTA sticker
for my half ton Ford.

Either way it's confusing as hell, oh and the 18 month compliance check is delightful. I have to give myself a drug test every six months and do a daily vehicle inspection
log.

Re: Vehicle Graphics For Review.

The whole DOT weight issue/tagging is designed to be confusing so it can be interpreted by every single law enforcement agency a different way. This way, they can all fine you and claim "Hey...it's right there in the law".

I had an issue with this, and went right to the DMV. Not one person IN THE FRIGGIN DMV knew the laws regarding weight registration for trucks and trailers. I asked three cops and got three different answers. What a joke.

And yes, you can legally register a Honda Civic for a GVW of 950,000lbs as long as you can pay the registration fees. It's so corrupt, it's ridiculous.
