I know a guy that had just built (or I should say 'converted') a small trailer (that used to be mine) so his brand new van (just bought) could haul his brand new Harley (also just bought).
He had just gotten everything all hooked up for the 'road test', - - when he gets a call on his cell phone that his wife just wrecked her car across the Pennsy state line. She wasn't hurt, but she was stranded.
He's already all hooked up, and I guess confident of his newly aquired welding abilities, - - so he heads out to be her 'saviour', - - but as he's racing along the bumpy road and approaching the 'dip' underneath a railroad bridge, - - he hears an 'implosion' behind him.
Fearing the worst, - - he looks in his rear-view mirror, - - and sure 'nuff, - - the trailer was airborne and in pieces.
He quickly veers over to the 'guard-railed' shoulder as he's slammin' the brakes, - - never realizing his brand new Harley was 'ghost-riding' alongside him.
You got it, guys and gals, - - both the brand new Harley AND the brand new van get wiped out during the 'squeeze-play' with the guard-rail.
So now we're talkin' the wife's car, the van, the bike, and the trailer.
Not a good day for the family fleet!!
