I was soooooo stupid when I was in my early 20's!

I think about that and laugh at myself.
I had no brains!

But, it wasn't the first time that I've incorporated the truck bed in an unorthodox manner.

And by the way...Ford needs to bring back the I6/300 motor!

Best work motor around!

Torque of a 302/5.0 V-8, economy of a 6cyl!
The best!

But...They do have a new small block V8 coming out that's supposed to get more than 20MPG while producing about 15% more horsepower.

Now that's an interesting beast...and it's "not" a hybrid.

Let see if this brings them back from the brink.
He you ever put the bottom of a ladder in a loader tractor bucket to get another 10ft out of it? When you fall you dont want to hit the bucket on the way down.

I heard the ford 300 was junk, Ive never had one but Ive read tons of hate stories. There are a few people who swear they were the best.

The yotas are assembled here, they build the assemblies in japan then ship it over here and put the 3 or 4 pieces together. If they ship the finished vehicle they have to pay some sort of imoprt tax.

I have a Yakima rack system where the back rack goes in the hitch, the front one over the cab. It's designed for kayaks but I've hauled small lumber loads and plenty of PVC with it.

damn, can i see pics of that?

I used a Dodge Dakota extra cab for several years when i had a career and was working on the side for myself. The truck had 260k when i sold it and it was tired iron but it treated me very well. I had an aluminum cap on it with ladder racks and it was alway loaded from front to back. I kept all my tools/supplies in cases and i used a garden rake to reach in the front to grab the cases so i wouldnt have to crawl inside. The truck could haul 1500-2k with no issues. I now tow a 14' enclosed trailer behind an 06 Duramax. Alot more room, truck has no clutter and is much cleaner, no lack of power when it is needed.
