I think fine homebuilding magazine has plans somewhere for a decent build your own model.

Re: Truck Bed Slide Outs

Has anyone ever built one?

The premades seem awful expensive.

I was wondering about garage door track and rollers, mounted on and under a sheet of plywood, with a 2" x 12" or whatever side for internal storage height. The pull out could be an oval hole cut with a jig-saw and mount a set of legs from an old folding table to stabilize it when loaded, with casters on the bottom of the legs.

The same.
It might be easier to find it on line
than go back through the magazines.
Wish they had some kind of index.

I have been thinking about something along these lines sort of, for the back of the 'Burban. I would like it to slide out so I can load things and then push it in. No climbing in and out.

Re: Truck Bed Slide Outs

It has a third row seat but, I usually dont have it in. With the third row seat I still have 4+ feet of space. I want it basically for loading up all my Festool Systainers and keeping them safe and secure.
