If they are going to save you money, why wait until May to start saving money. Two months insurance premium isn't chicken feed.

Good point .I need one other thing before I switch though , and that is a tool rider ,which they don't provide.I need one for at least 10,000.I have a few calls into places but if you know of anyone who may offer the riders with-out carrying the actual policy,I appreciate the lead.

I called them for insurance 4 years ago and they gave me a price of $2,300 per year for the F250. They asked how I was going to pay for it and I said that right now I'm paying $800 a year.

They are a high risk insurance company.

You get what you pay for when it comes to auto insurance.

Re: Progressive Just Got A Sale.....

I've got a tool rider but it's through the general business insurance. I even specifically asked if it covered someone opening the back of my truck and stealing tools out...he said yes. Now, if I have an auto ins policy that covers it too, seems the auto policy would pay first, then the general business, but I'm no insurance pro.

I was checking out new Sprinters awhile ago and quoted a full coverage policy, which came to about $875/yr-which I didn't think was too bad considering commercial coverage on a $42k van. $2300/yr is nuts!
