Kargomaster Rack

I have the pro 2 and wondered if anyone else has one and likes it. Mine has some movement up front, anyone else have any issues with theirs?

Re: Kargomaster Rack

The Kargo Master truck racks are one of the better mass produced racks out there. If you wnat one sturdier, you should go with a custom built rack built by a local welding shop. It will run you a few more bucks, though.

Re: Kargomaster Rack

I have one, my only complaint is the powder coating is coming off on one side. As far as the movement you have, the instructions state that you should use silicone on all joints befor putting it together.

Re: Kargomaster Rack

I've had several of these racks in the past and found them to be very sturdy and well built. My only complaint is that the powder coating always comes off within two years and then they look bad.

I've switched over to the System One aluminum racks and find them to be much better because they never look old and rusty. I also like having the tie down straps and the nylon / rubber inserts that keep the stuff from rattling so much when going down the road.

I don't think I'll ever buy another Kargo Master just because of the crappy finish job. I do have a different type of steel rack on my work van that's at least four years old and looks like new, I'm not sure of the brand but a durable finish on steel is possible.
