It's cute but what is the price with options and is the price worth it for a JR truck?

My uncle has one. Make sure you look at all options (brands) out there. He wishes he did. 13 mpg city is what he said. My duramax does better than that.

Yeah the images they have of the truck towing a boat and a trailer are pushing the 5000lbs limit a bit.

Re: Honda Ridgeline

I looked around the ridgeline forum- everyone was real proud of their "ridges", and going on and on about how great it was, but practically every thread was "hey guys, something's wrong with my vehicle, anyone else seeing this as well?" One guy was complaining about a ripple in the unibody, which he was attributing to driving over rough terrain with a couple of bags of cement in the bed, and the response is that that is too much for his truck.

The forum is a quality read, if you are looking for something funny

Re: Honda Ridgeline

Is it basically a Honda Pilot with a bed? I love the Honda Pilot but never got used to the look of the Ridgeline.

yea nathan i think that it is

it is built on a pilot's chassy but they beefed it up a little

do you have a pilot?

the car mags seem to love this truck/car (ridgeline)

but from my initial research maybe honda will get it right in one or two more versions.

i think the ridgeline needs more hp and towing capacity

otherwise it is a car with a weird trunk

but used for what it is built for like my wife getting groceries and hauling her fat a$$ sisters and friends around it might be ok

I don't but my mom does and so do a couple of friends. They all love the Pilot and I would consider getting one if I needed an SUV. I like Toyota trucks though.

There's no break between the cab and the bed and that throws my eyes off. The Chevy Avalanche is the same way and I don't like it either. That's just a matter of taste though.

For me... I'd either buy a truck or an SUV. This is a little too inbetween for me.

But just get what you and your wife like right?

Re: Honda Ridgeline

My wife has a Ridgeline, and if it were my choice, there would not be another, but she loves it. The trunk under the bed is a pretty slick idea, but one of the few neat features. I am 6-1, and do not find it comfortable on long drives...mileage runs 16 average....and yep, my Duramax does better.

Re: Honda Ridgeline

I'll throw in another option, the Ford Explorer Sport Trac, has that break between the cab and the bed Nathan is looking for. The reason I like it, aside from my buy American policy, is that it is licensed with passenger vehicle plates not truck plates (Unlike the Avalanche, don't know about the Ridgeline), so you can drive and park it just about anywhere, no truck restrictions. I'm not pushing it or anything, I never owned one, just another option.

Here some of the stuff about it from a review:

Starting MSRP $24,390 - $29,965

There's much to like about the redesigned Explorer Sport Trac SUV/pickup. It's larger than its predecessor yet surprisingly maneuverable in tight spaces. It's also available with V-8 power for the first time, and these models get gas mileage that's as good as or better than the previous-generation V-6 Sport Trac.

The Sport Trac's maximum towing capacities are comparable to the competition, which includes the Honda Ridgeline and crew cab versions of the Dodge Dakota, Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma. When properly equipped, two-wheel-drive V-6 Sport Tracs can pull 5,310 pounds, while V-8 versions can tow up to 6,800 pounds. Maximum towing capacities dip slightly for four-wheel-drive Sport Tracs.

Re: Honda Ridgeline

A friend of mine has a Ridgeline and I like the ride. He's had it since they hit the market. He calls it utilitarian. His Avalanche has many more bells and whistles. My next personal vehicle will probable be the Ridgeline. I'm trying to talk me wife into a Pilot but she won't give up her Chrysler 300. I was in Mississippi recently and our group was using a Pilot to tow a 16' steel flat trailer to the dump. Our heavest load was 4700# (I didn't load it). Add the 1600-1700# for the trailer and we were way over weight, but it towed very well. I was impressed with that little SUV.
