Chevy Trailblazer: 4wd Problems

I recently purchased a used Trailblazer for my wife. While driving, it will switch into 4wd. I asked somebody and they said that the switch needs to be replaced. I guess that Trailblazers are know for that. Has anybody have or know somebody that has experienced this ??

My son had the same problem with an s10 blazer. He said it was in the linkage. He is at work right now but check back later for a better answer.

Re: Chevy Trailblazer: 4wd Problems

I owned one from 2002-2005. Never did that, but the 4x4 did go out and it was an electric switch issue. I had a handfull of problems and almost all of them were fixed with a software download. Seems like those things are more computer than car.
