Worx Tools

Hey has anyone seen these up close yet?
http://www.worxpowertools.com/
Sorry that's the best link I could come up with, I guess they're pretty new

I saw them in the True Value flyer
My first thought was it's a homeowner gimmick, but it is kind of a radical design difference
I'm curious if anyone here has put their hands on the drill or saw?

Thumbs up

Re: Worx Tools

I saw the skil saw and the sawzall at a pro dealer which was also a TrueValue store..they were demoing them in the back. These are defintely professional grade tools. The skil saw has a handle that moves so you're not stuck in one position. I am not sure that I would use that feature but you can lock the handle in the up position so that when you are cutting on the ground it's alot easier. The sawzall was pretty powerful and had orbital action...it cut alot smoother than my old saw.

Hmmm...kinda beefy then huh?
It seemed silly at first, like a gimmick....but then I tought about it, all the times your wrist is at an angle
It it was straighter, it'd be much less strain
...make the tool twist rather than your wrist/arm/elbow
Thanks for the hands-on review
I'd like to try them myself....I'll keep an eye out for them

Re: Worx Tools

They do look interesting. I haven't seen them in Canada yet. How do they compare price wise to the other high end cordless tools?

Re: Worx Tools

Let's see, I saved the flyer here...

Ummm...looks like your choice, circ, recip, or 1/2" variable speed hammer drill
$129.99 USD
The 3/8" vari-speed drill is $99.99 USD

I think they're corded though-looks like it from here
That black cylinder looks like a batt. but I see cords on the drills

Re: Worx Tools

Right in line with a Milwaukee recip or Porter-Cable circ
In the same flyer there's a Dewalt recip for 99, and a Dewalt vari-drill for 59
