I've had a month like that

A compressor, 2 front tires with a framing nail and a roofing screw, my impact driver died, a week of no working due to heavy rain, put my back out so bad I could only gasp for air, my wireless router shat the bed and a router I ordered for a job showed up without all the parts so I am waiting for replacements.

Oh well, on the brighter side carpentry is my second job now so at least i have a steady income while the gremlins are at work on my best laid plans.

I don't do Johnsons. I'm not built that way.

Oh so true!! I had 42 stitches in 2 fingers last May. Frigged up 2 months solid and slowed me down for an additional month. Now we're into colder weather and I can't keep my fingers warm in the mornings

Now that was funny!

I keep half a dozen tape measures in the truck, buckets and tool totes along with extra utility knives and chalk lines in multiple colors and any other small desposable tools. As for the level, I have a couple of those also, but only one in the truck. Make due with either a 2' or 6' until you can get to a lowes or HD to replace it. My brother has had 2 fatmax extreme levels replaced free from lowes in the last year. 1 was brand new, but took a dive off of 20' of scaffolding.

lol, multiple chalklines tell me about it, i have roughly 4 right now, 2 red, 1 blue, 1 orange, my black line reel broke gonna get another. the boys tease me about it but whats the first thing that happns when a line was snapped wrong "you got that orange line with you"

definitely comes in handy when framing in the winter or wet days, last year i always had 2 on my pouch, 1 in the toolbox and 1 or 2 un spooled sitting in the furnace room at home drying...

stocked back up on tapes, picked up a new 25 ftmx and a 16, plus hd has the maxsteel tapes on for 1/2 price this week, as for the level their on sale elsewhere but sold out of em 1st day, xmas is coming though

People think I'm strange when buying a half dozen tapes. I guess I'm not the only one.

Stanley knives just seem to disappear. I can buy a half dozen of them, put them in the side box, and a couple weeks later there are none.
