You're lucky, glad you're OK. I did that to my dad's Ford when I was 17.

He bought another Ford, go figure

This is my dream rig. It's a 2 wheel drive version of the CXT. Massive towing capacity, looks good, and the bed isn't at chin height.

Seen 1 or 2 on truckpaper.com for less than $60K. In a few more years I'll be able to find a used one cheaper than that and buy one.

It's too bad International killed the XT line of trucks. They're sweet.

I actually drive a 4 runner

Toyota makes the best damn truck in the world.

Had an 89 Toyota PU ext cab 6' bed 4 banger 4x4 bought new in 88 for 12K Totaled in 96 on a bridge in Annapolis ( for those of you who are sailors some a hole set his spinnaker sideways during a race and I spent too much time looking and thinking WTF) Truck had 249K miles and the insurance co gave me 7500 as value when wrecked. ( Do the math)

Next truck
97 Ford F150 4x2 extended cab xlt 6 cyl 5 speed cost me 22K new.
Engine blew a piston out because of defective seal after overheating and giving no warning cost me 3grand to replace. One month after engine replaced I get a recall from Ford about the seal and how it would blow up an engine. Show ford replacement invoice with mechanics certification of what went wrong and ford would do nothing.

Last ford ever bought.

Bought 98 4 runner used with 105k miles v6 sr5 with leather interior for 11K I have had this truck for 5 years it now has 260K miles on it and the only thing i have had to do is replace the brakes a few times new battery and the expansion valve on the a/c

I've got the same truck(1998) bought it for 13K in Nov of 98 and had the same head gasket problem. I caught it before it damaged anything else so just had to replace the head gaskets. Ball joints and brake caliper pistons are also know defects on these and I had to replace them. Other than that its just been belts and oil.
Also have a 89 F250 4x4 club cab that hauls the loads and pulls the trailers. Only drive it when needed as gas is over $3 here.
I am looking to replace the F150 though. Hope I can find slightly used one and ship it over.
