I prefer my Glock.
I walked up to a Black Bear in Mammoth. We made eye contact and he took off on the high road into camp. The BB raided a campsite where people left their food out and was eventually scared away (or anoid) by a dog. Unfortunitly I was unarmed.

Unless you have the speed of "Flash" you would if someone broke in with intent to do you harm. I don't believe that laws should be that invasive on what you do within the confines of your own home. Not to say that if I had small children running around that I would leave a loaded weapon on the floor under the bed. All my children (now adults) learned weapons safety and how to handle them very young.

Gun discipline is the best thing you can teach your children, and teach it when they are young. Once they learn the discipline to handle firearms, they can apply that discipline to everything they do, including schoolwork.
