Re: What Brand Framing Gun?

I have always had Paslodes, but I am not primarily a framer. A great many of the large framing crews seem to have switched from their old stand by Sencos to Hitachi. I only recently bought my first Hitachi nailer, a 15ga trim gun, and although it is only several months old so I can't address it service requirements, I really like it. It has not has a single nail jamb and is exceptionally well balanced and comfortable to use. My local contractor supplier is really strong on Hitachi , and I have never had them give me bad recommendations in more than 20 years, and they deal with many brands; carrying Senco, Hitachi, Paslode, Bostich, Porter Cable, Dewalt, and even the new Milwaulkee nailers.

it would bounce nail if it had the right trigger. they sell it with the "safety trigger", but if you ask, they'll give you the bounce nail trigger.

Hitachi NR90AC3

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...activeda409-20

Shoots up to a 3 1/2" .162ga. Solid, fast, and dependable. IMHO the best gun in the 120 psi range

Paslode Powermaster Plus
They're fast and run forever.
And you can turn them sideways and hold the trigger down with your thumb while nailing off walls, its much easier on the wrist than trying to hold it down with your forefinger and shoot in straight.
