Veto XL Handle

I bought one of these a while ago 2nd hand. I LOVE everything about it but the weight. It's heavy but not unmanageable.

Well last week one of the guys I'm working with went to pick it up and the handle broke. :0(

Is this a common thing or did I just hit the bad luck lottery? I haven't tried calling Veto yet, but if this is a common thing I might give it a shot.

Thanks, I've only heard of 1 other person that had that happen to them so far. I'm going to call them on Monday and see what they say. My only problem is I bought the bag off a friend who was down on his luck so I don't have a receipt. Oh well, I'll let you guys know what they say.

Tell them it 2 years old and you lost the receipt. Did your friend register the bag when he got it? Wood craft did it for me when I got mine. They register a lot of the tools I buy for me.

It's in NY right now and I'm in Pa. I'll post a pic on wednesday when I go back. It broke right at the end of the grip, there's a hole in the hard plastic that they mold the rubber grip around and through (I'm guessing it's there to keep the grip from sliding). That hole created a weak point.

Then when the one side broke, I taped it and it didn't hold. When the tape let go, the other side of the grip couldn't handle it and broke also.

I have no idea if it was registered, I'll have to give him a call on that one.

hvacproductratings.com has a Talk to the Manufacturer feature where you can ask them about the handle problem. Let us know here what they say.
