Veto Pro Pac
I read and have been involved in numerous threads about tool storage and mobility. As the property managment company I work closely with keeps getting more and more properties to manage, I seem to find myself busy for a couple days a week at least just taking care of these properties.
Its always a crap shoot to know what you need to take with you to fix something. So I went in head first and just got my Veto Pro Pac XL. This thing is pricey but, it sure is heavy duty. My only problem seems to be that it is going to take me 6 hours to track down all my hand tools just to fill it up. Anyone else use these things daily? What do you like? What do you hate? By the way, it is for hand tools so dont say you cant get you bit cases or drill to fit in it, that is not what is is for! Its like Christmas one week late!!!! |

Re: Veto Pro Pac
I also have the LC.
I wish there were more pockets for all my screwdrivers, and a couple of other minor complaints, like the handle always wants to tilt to the side and block my reach of one side of it. I wouldn't care if it was more rigid and stood straight up, or a lot less rigid and flopped easily to one side or the other. As of now it is just rigid enough to be annoying when wanting to quickly grab something with one hand. Also, I initially wanted the ones that zip closed, but my hammer wouldn't fit ![]() Other than that it is great and very heavy duty.

Re: Veto Pro Pac
I have an XXl and two XL's. Love these bags. Previously, I used the five gallon bucket with the Bucket Boss liner bag thing. That sucked, tipped over all the time, etc.
I find the Vetos to be nearly indestructible. I like them. Pricey but worth it. |

Re: Veto Pro Pac
I have an XL and my only gripe is that it just gets too heavy to move around.
I'm actually headed into NYC in a few minutes to install some specialty storm windows and I want to travel light, so I'm repacking the Veto so I can carry everything in one shot from my wife's SUV (not my commercial Van) to the townhouse. Usually, I end up walking back and fort TO the Veto in the truck to get one thing at a time out of it. Fortunately, I don't use too many hand tools other than what I carry in my belt.

Re: Veto Pro Pac
I went through the bucket brigade, different tool boxes blah, blah, blah. It was getting irritating having to drag my trailer around and do repairs, got tired of throwing stuff in the back of the Burban and not knowing where it went to.
With this bag a couple sortainers that have yet to come in, I hope this makes my life easier being able to grab my Veto, drill case with one or 2 systainers latched to the drill case and go repair most things without unnesacary trips. Like I said, they keep getting more and more properties and I hope a little bit of organization will go a long way to making my life easier. Greg, I still never got one of those lift and locks, I succumed and got a couple Sortainers instead. Thanks guys for the real world feed back!! |

I have the LC and if definitely keeps you organized. Sorta limited in space, but I guess you don't need to bring all your tools with you all the time.

Warner
i have one of those lift-lok things and it is great for my electrical/theater install kit. right now that box and my veto is all i need for installing home theater systems. I may get some more to use for other tool kits... eventually. good luck with the sortainers - they were a little to pricey for my blood.
