Vanity Cabinet Power Tools

What are all of the power tools you use when installing a simple bathroom vanity (base) cabinet?

You don't NEED any "power" tools - IF you know what you're doing

Hilti jackhammer with a shovel attachment. Helps when the floor isn't quite level.

Re: Vanity Cabinet Power Tools

Seriously though, I use my impact driver, pencil, planer (if the floor isn't level to plane some off the base), 2 X foot long spirit levels, rubber mallet (just in case I need to tap it into position), my caulking gun, silicon, pipe benders for the copper pipes and finally 2 monkey wrenches. Oh, and some scrap thin wedges of wood to initially level the base before I trace what I have to plane off the bottom. This should be all you need. It's a bit strange that as a carpenter you don't know what to take?

I suppose it does seem quite odd to be posting these questions.

I am making up very specific tool checklists for a carpentry business. I don’t want to find myself driving 20 minutes to a job, only to realize I forgot something. I don’t want to travel up three flights of stairs, or through a parking lot and long hallway, and realize I left something in my truck either. Another benefit of proof checking these checklists by means of forum threads, is every once in a while, someone will mention a seldom used but slightly faster or better technique done with a completely different tool.

Aha!!! Well in that case might I suggest a fein multimaster, hole saw kit, cordless drill and also an sds plus drill with a chipping function and chipping attachments? Also, I would recommend several rolls of masking tape, a rose bit (to countersink your screws) and also plumbing tape. I am not sure if you would be the one to connect the water or you leave that to the plumber but I also have a plumbing kit with all the seals, tape, pipe benders, glue/solvent and cutters and various joiners to connect everything up. To add to the plumbing kit is a blunt rip saw for cutting the pvc pipe as sharp ones tend to catch.

Also, diamond bits or bits suitable for drilling through tile are a must as are standard and masonry bits as they have saved me on several occasions.

Now I don't carry all that into the bathroom with me but will have it available in the truck for emergencies. The Fein is one of those tools that 98% of the time I ask myself why the hell I drag it around but in those 2% of cases I thank God I brought it. It's my paddle when I'm up the brown creek.

By no means is this list exhaustive but off the top of my head that is what I have used and some pieces have gotten me out of major trouble.
