Re: Tooloholic?

I'm so bad that I can walk through most tool stores and go 'got one, got one, got one', with the occasional 'don't need it'.

To make this worse, I can do the same thing at gun and fishing venues/stores. This week it was this.

1884 Marlin in .44 Mag. Now I can put those size holes in the walls fast and easy! Prior to this I was limited to .40 and .45.

Re: Tooloholic?

Hi, my name is Cdat and I'm a Toolaholic. This is the newest add-on to my garage:

A 22 by 24 foot addition to hold my tools. Haven't had a vehicle in the garage for 4 years now. My latest purchases have been some nice big shaper bits to do some trim milling.

I have been in negotiations with someone for an old Atlas lathe so I may cut spirals and the such on spindles easier 'just in case' I ever have the urge to do so. This will be my 4th lathe. 1 in the basement, 1 in the garage, the new one for the work shop and one in the shed because I haven't been able to find replacement parts for it....yet. Can never have too many tools.

With the addition on the back of the garage, we figure we 'might' be able to get all of the tools out of the house and sheds into the garage. Still no room for a vehicle however. Sheds? Did I say sheds? 3 of 'em. All full of either tools or wood.

Oh man, what's better than buying new tools is finding said tool you bought last week still in the box/packing while cleaning out your truck/trailer! Or "you mean there's a brand new makita DBSC miter saw in this box we've been using as a lunch table?!?" True story.

By the way guys (and lady), I've seemed to have a relapse.

Just when i thought I was getting a hold of my "problem", I've come to find that I'm buying tools in double now.

Some of my purchases coming in this week:

I'm developing a set two of everything now for Roofing and a set for Carpentry.

Re: Tooloholic?

Uh, you can scratch the Wormdrive off of that list...I just picked up a Bosch 1677 MD. At this moment I forgot what else I bought, but I walked out of that store $443. poorer, so somewhere in that there is the two bags of tools I purchased!

I admit it...I'm a Tool Hoe.
