Table Saw.
Hello everyone !!!
I am looking for some advice on portable table saw. What I am looking for something not to big - portable, for a small part time jobs. I do not mine to spend a few more bucks as long will work for me. Good quality product, with a good fance. I had my mind set on Rigid (for $599) or Bosch (for $ 698) at Home Depot in Toronto, Canada. Any sugestions and ideas. Thanks in advance, Fireboy. |

Re: Table Saw.
Nothing wrong with the Rigid as far as I know
But the Bosch kicks it's butt quality-wise |

Re: Table Saw.
I have the ridgid 10" portable table saw I like it a lot once I set up the fence I can take it off and put it back on and it stays square so that makes me happy has lots of power I have ripped a lot of stuff with it and it works great

Re: Table Saw.
Fireboy, I pretty much get all my tools from a place here in Ajax called Toolies. I picked up my Hitachi table saw from them and it's been great. It's very light weight for it's size and the table extends out to both sides. I've had no problems with the fence and I've used it alot since I bought it in the spring. If you go in to check out what they have, let them know I recommended them to you. Also, their prices beat just about anywhere in the GTA and they can order just about any band you want, except Rigid, of course.

Re: Table Saw.
I would go with what Slick said- the bosch table comes with a stand on wheels which makes it damn easy for portability. I second the bosch notion.

Re: Table Saw.
I was also between the Bosch and the Ridgid. However, I could not find a display Bosch unit anywhere. They both have the folding stand on wheels. I decided on the Ridgid due toi the fact that I could see one at Homey Dee's and when folded it fits under my tonneau cover. I love the saw. Only minor complaint is the saw dust builds up under the blade due to small pieces of wood blocking a plastic grill where you can hook up a vac. I broke off the two or three grills and it helps. My 12" dual bevel CMS is a Bosch and I love that saw too
