Re: Storing Cordless Tool Sets
Leo, it sure is nice to only have to make a couple trips isn't it?
You guys make fun of my systainers and sortainers but, I can grab all my tools/screws/bits/tips and in one trip, I am in the house with everything I need. Sure is easy on a man. Glad to se you like that, I looked at it a few times and just couldn't buy it. |

Re: Storing Cordless Tool Sets
I have one waterproof tool box that carries my most used tools. In that box are the mini makita drill and impact gun, charger and extra battery. They have to be the best thing yet...small yet enough balls on the impact to drive most any screw, and the drill will do up to 1300 rpm and up to 13/16 in wood.
But I typically take a minute, think about what I am going to need and bring that with me. Doing more with less saves time and money. ![]() ![]() I bought the impact when it first came out, and I found myself a little wiery to bring it on job sites, other guys with the full size would make fun of it...untill they saw it work...now many of them have them...now I can't live with out it... |

Re: Storing Cordless Tool Sets
My buddy has had one now for over a year of everyday use. He keeps his 6 piece ridgid cordless tool set in the bottom bin and the rest of his tool in the top bins. He lays it flat in the bed of his truck because of the cap and nothing falls out or gets misplaced. I would buy it...its just that all the stanley boxes ive ever bought have always fell apart in under a year. I dont want to be spending over $100 (CAD) a year on tool boxes...so ill stick with my regular almost fully broken stanley tool box for now...

Re: Storing Cordless Tool Sets
I use something similar to this for my drills/impacts:
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...3+90015+502233 I can carry two 18V drills and two 18V impacts. I use a Plano 3600 tackle box for all my bits and it stows on the side of the bag along with a metal drill bit index. I mounted my chargers on a piece of plywood with handle so I carry them separately. Other cordless stuff gets carried as needed separately.

Re: Storing Cordless Tool Sets
I picked up the little makita set a couple of months ago and love it-the 10.6v. only downside is the driver doesn't have a regular chuck (uses same bit as impact).
I've been using a bag like the veto pro pac but picked it up at tractor supply for $30 http://www.tractorsupply.com/wcsstor...50/5041344.jpg . works so nice I have two. for toting a lot of cordless tools up, I pack them in milk crates-they are easily visible and relatively easy to handle but usually not stackable due to the tools sticking out. |

AS USUAL I jumped in booth feet without looking! I quoted and posted BEFORE I read through to the end that you were already using dif pvc ideas and that space might not accomodate individual cpvc sleeves. DOHHHH!!! Last edited by jtpro; 07-14-2009 at 01:23 AM. Reason: Posted to quick |
