Rotary Laser

I did a search on lasers in this forum and read thru them, does anybody have any comments on this particular one:

LaserMark LM800 Series Self Leveling Rotary Laser

http://www.laserlevels.net/cst_laser_lm800.html

I am willing to spend up to $1500.00. I want to be able to do just about everything with it. Residential/commercial remodeling, grid ceilings and what ever else I am no thinking of.

thanks,

Re: Rotary Laser

I have no experience with that particular brand. I have the 18 volt DeWalt self levelling rotary and I love it, walls to ceilings, great investment.
Comes with one battery, charger, laser guide, glasses and wall mount bracket, in a sturdy case for max protection, it has paid for itself in time saved alone, in a very short time.

DWO77KD around $1,200.00 I believe.

Re: Rotary Laser

How thick a line does it project at 50' & 100'. How long have you had it?

thanks,

Re: Rotary Laser

Get's down to around an 1/8" inch maybe a little less at a 100' I have had it for 13 months with no problems at all, even using the same battery it came with, I have only seen this type used by all the grid guy's I have ever worked with, my main use for it has been setting my hanger centre's and height on big sheetmetal projects and laying out roof curb steel from underneath.

I will say that this is the first rotary I have ever had so I have nothing to compare it too. It was good enough for grid guy's it was good enough for me.

Re: Rotary Laser

Do you have any comments about the PLS 360, the dewalt rotor lases is available over here in the UK but massively expensive.
