Re: Rockwell Jawhorse

It does look easier to tote
than my old Workmates.
Didn't know Rockwell was
still around, it might go well
with my Rockwell miter saw.

Gee, thanks for showing me
something else to want.

I inherited the first series workmate from my Father. Heavy as hell, but damned innovative at the time. Hope this proves to be as impressive now as that was then!

Three legs would be
more stable in the grass.

I bought the first generation
Workmate, it's still in the shop.

My Dad purchased it in mid-seventies?????? I inherited it in 1983.

And yes three is more stable than four on uneven ground. Hence the camera/sextant/whatever tripod design.

Re: Rockwell Jawhorse

I just received one today as a gift with the plywood clamp option. It is heavy duty and appears to be made very well. I have never even heard of this thing before today and just watched the video. The clamp works good and is simple to operate. The welding clamp setup looks pretty handy.

Re: Rockwell Jawhorse

I played with 1 at a hardware demo show. Only drawback I had was releasing the jaw, you push the locking lever with your foot till it clicks or something like that. Otherwise it looked pretty good.
