Re: Reward Stolen Custom Dump Trailer
Easy shot to the 101 and they're gone in what, 90 seconds? (gotta' love google earth). Spend a day cruisin' San Jose and see what turns up.
I feel for you. I wasn't in business 6 months before I get hit for $30K in tools and equipment. 3 months later I bought a rental Bobcat when it was stolen from my job. There's a special place in my basement...um...that is...in my heart, for any thief I ever catch. |

Ah man, that sucks, looks like a nice unit. Better check the employees, sounds kinda like it might be an inside deal.
Ya didn't say what the reward was. Just wondering if a fella could make a living running down butt wipes like that. Bob

Re: Reward Stolen Custom Dump Trailer
Might be a good idea to supply a plate number.
You might also print off fliers and send them to the local PD's and S.O.'s in the area. Cover From Marin to Gilroy or San Juan Bautista. Did it by chance have a Weber logo or anything easily spotted that could help to identify it? (of course that would get painted over real quick but still).

Post it at all the local dumps, whoever picks it up will have to dump sooner or later.

That looks like an awsome set-up though, where'd you get it from originally? I'd like to have one. I hope you find it and the S.O.B who stole it.

Re: Reward Stolen Custom Dump Trailer
Actually, its possibel it will be found more now than before. Its hidden when first stolen until it could be either re sold or used without anyone knowing about it. The police really don't have the time for something like that. Just had a D# stolen around here. I asked the owner if the police looked at all the gas station videos and security cameras along the routes. Police didn;t have time to do all that. Would have been easy enough seeing it roll down the road and then they'd have a tow vehicle to look for as well if not a plate.
Anyway, the dump sites would be the best place to look for it. Even today! Someone new might have bought it and just pulls it around like nothing to it. Reminds me of a guy who lost his Vette. 10 years or so later he is filling up his car and looks at this vette next to him. Looks real familar and talks to the guy. This guy had just bought it that year. It was HIS stolen Vette. They had pulled the motor out of it, but he got it back after all that time. Too bad for the guy who had just bought it. |

Re: Reward Stolen Custom Dump Trailer
I've seen one like that running around here once in a while. I don't know the exact layout or mechanicals of it, I doubt it's yours, but you never know.
