Replacing Fuel Lines on Diesel Engine
I need to replace about 12" piece of fuel line (from pump to fuel filter) on my diesel light tower i recently purchased. Is there special hoses that must be used for fuel lines? Or could I just pickup some at my local plumbing store?

Go to AutoZone, NAPA, Strauss or PepBoys. You NEED 5/16 or 3/8 (probably) Fuel Injector line. It is available by the foot off of spools in the back.
Diesel is pretty good at dissolving most things!
While you are at it clean the dipstick, the oil filler cap and replace any EGR valves. This will lessen the tell-tale signs of usage and wear. Drain the cooling system HALF WAY and replace with new Antifreeze. (can not make it look too clean. If it completely horrible then replace it all).
I sold used Auction Cars in Atlanta for a few years. Know ALL the tricks.

I would replace any other rubber fuel lines when you replace this one. Once a line rots out all the others will go w/in a year or 2.

You will notice a pattern. Nearly all my experience is Automotive related. As for why? I am not a great employee. I get bored fairly quickly and need "newness" to stay marginally satisfied. Learn something fairly well and move on.

Nope. Not ONE bit. I can, however, screw in a light bulb unassisted and without supervision.

For me to prove it would mean that you would have to observe and thusly defeating my original statement of "unsupervised".
You see, no matter how I or you slice it, I win!
