Porter Cable Palm Belt Sander


anyone have it or use it? how is it, I really like itslow side profile (drive belt) for getting up close. TIA

My dealer told me they can't keep them in stock. Everybody loves them.

It's a nice little sander. Very easy to handle and manuever from what I can tell so far (I just tried it out on some scrap). Good power and it fits it tight spots.

I think it's a winner...

Update.

I'm working on a large ipe deck right now. I LOVE this sander. It's extremely easy to handle and does not want to bog down. I've been able to get into some really tight spots where I'd be stuck using my Fein Multimaster otherwise.

You can easily run it with one hand.

I used it to ease the edges of the overhanging ipe deck boards and take out any kerf marks. I also used it to take some milling chatter out of the 4x4 ipe posts.

I have yet to plug it into my Festool vac, but it would appear that the dust is being naturally channeled into the vac port.
