I started with one of those kits, still have it from about 5 years ago, guns work great, compressor works great. I mistreated that pancake compressor like you wouldn't believe, just won't die. Finally upgraded to a bigger compressor to keep up with some air tools we use.
It's a good kit to get you started, no doubt.

Didn't buy the kit, but I've got the compressor,15ga and brad nailer.
I like them, love the 15ga.
Even use the compressor for roof and floor deck with a framing nailer.
$240 seems like the sale price at Blowes though, could be wrong.
OOPs--I've got the DA250 15ga (angled), big difference!

I use a Rigid compressor but I have Porter Cable 16ga and 18 ga nailers. I have no complaints with any Porter Cable trim guns, their framers suck.

I bought the kit with 3 different trim guns for $ 269.00 at HD last fall.
The 5 gun kit was just on sale for $ 289.00 also at HD.

Matjone,
Please don't post the same topic twice in different forums.
They all get viewed just the same if you use the New Posts button on the upper right hand side.

I merged the 2 similar threads, if there seems to be some questions. Ed

I have a set about 4 years old, gun's have nice cases, compressor has held up well, no problems, I even use compressor to blow out waterlines on houses/ winterize. I think the only thing I've done is upgrade my air hose.

we added an airtank between our pancake and our framming guns <2> and it kept two of us busy for a week till the gas compressor got fixed, it worked its but off but it's still working, still using it for trim, sure does beat running 150' of air hose from the big compressor, just pick it up and go.
