I can understand this "stuff" for bedroom fun, not for work. The toolbelt has a nylon web belt and is junk compared to leather.

It's not great stuff, but we work together on jobs and she wanted something different. She mostly puts small tools and stuff in her bag and lets me lug around the heavy stuff.

Do you need some rainbow suspenders to hold them up too?

The toolbelt is for his girlfriend/wife not for a boyfriend. If I had employees, I would get one for whoever causes a callback.

I have no idea what you are implying DougChips.

I was just asking if he needed some suspenders to hold uo the tool belt and pouches.

I knew it was for his "Partner".

Getting somewhat serious, the several gay customers I have had were usually some of the best to work for. They appreciated the lack of a judgemental attitude and were of the nature to more respect a higher quality job.

Corin on Holmes on Homes is nicknamed 'Pinky' because she's always wearing pink on the show.. Haven't seen her with a pink tool belt yet. Maybe you should send her that link

You better be pretty secure with your manhood to sport a set of those things. I've been on some jobs where you'd get your as$ kicked wearing something like that.

Ed
I have a half dozen gay (2 lesbian) customers and gotta agree they are among the best customers. My reasoning however, is they tend to be more design oriented. Not to say they can't build, some started off with fixer-uppers and at least one is a contractor himself. But when it comes to design my gay customers tend to go a little more overboard, designs become more challenging and that's what I enjoy most about my work.

I don't like to categorize anybody, but at least with my customers this seems to be the case. BTW, there's a strong gay population in my neighborhood to whom I attribute the revitalization. Thing is, I'm surprised I don't have more gay customers.

About pink tools, I notice a lot of "women's" tool kits being made available. Problem is they tend to be cheap and flimsy, just that they're pink. I'd like to see a professional quality toolkit in pink. Give me name brand builders tools in pink and I'll use them every day. I'd just be concerned about them walking away when working around other contractors. Should I be worried about that?

Re: Pink Framers Bags

Hehe i have a pink hard hat that i wear. Its funn whenever a new guy starts on my crew, they have trouble taking me seriously. So i tell them if you cant take direction from a guy with a pink hard hat then get the he!! out. And i have pink toolbelt that i lend to rookies that dont have thier own belt.

Teach them the humility of not owning your own tools.

Now that's some funny sh*t! Odds are, they'll be ponying up to get their own bags with their first paycheck!
