Where do you buy your nails? Most nail suppliers fix the guns for the parts cost.

Just my 2 cents but the firing pin is bent i used to repair nail guns and that was a common problem.

I have 4 paslode framers and two angled finishers.
Two of the framing guns will be buried with full honors when (and if) they ever finally quit.
One framer is my problem child. In addition to being fixed at least once or twice a year, the pin will jam everytime we load it up with ring shanks. It also uses gas far more then all the others.
The last framer only has the pin problem when the operator is not holding it tight to the wood.

I just bought a Hitachi Full Head cordless nailer and I can't believe how well it works. I was afraid it might jam or give me issues like most cordless guns, but this one is a winner.
I also have a Paslode 16 ga angled gun and only experience the driver not rebounding when it's cold out.

Shouldn't need to do this, but you can use some graphite to lube pin/sleeve area. My framer loves his, sometimes it acts up, but a few bad words and a few slaps usually gets it going again!

Honestly, Paslode framing gun gives me so many problems, it's crap. I went back to the pneumatic gun. Half the time it didn't shoot, and half the time the it didn't shoot again.

i use both kinds, air and the paslode and they each have their places. sometimes hoses are a pain to deal with.
anyways, i don't think it's the oring in his case. the o ring probably usually is when the safety tip that you push against the wood won't retract back out, he's talking about the actual pin that slides in and out that channel from the firing cylinder. i've had mine for 7 years now and it works great. i replace the o ring about once a year and clean it like every other box full of nails. (sometimes longer) i do know the frustrations though of when you want it to shoot just one nail to hold something up, it wont' fire. i know the coil hitachi air gun always fires. and faster too.
good luck with the gun,
any lumber yard that sells tools should have the paslode parts in stock if they are a good yard.
homodepot doesn't stock parts or fix the crap they sell, so i find myself going to the mom and pop places to buy stuff because i know i get treated better if/when i need service etc. it's not worth saving like 20 bucks at the big box stores just to screwed when it's time for service. morons at HD barely know how to tie their shoes before going to work, let alone order parts for a paslode gun.
i wish they sold the positive placement nails there though!
that's the best gun paslode ever invented!

We have Paslode finish and framers...no problemo(s).....We keep them cleaned up good and have never had any problems...even framing in 10 degree weather.... (love our Paslodes)
(FWIW: We still use compressors and hoses for larger frames and finish projects)

extreme working conditions... lol
Hi, i wanted to post a reply on the paslode extreme working conditions... We work in Quebec with paslode 350 pneumatic framing guns and others staplers at -35 and that is their OFFICIAL minimum because all the plastic parts explode on the inside when you nail below -35
Just though i leave this comment

Not the driver
I have repaired Impulse tools since the first Black IM300 tools came out in 1987. I can tell you that the driver pins very rarely bend. It is not to say that the don't but it is very uncommon. The main reason for the driver not returning is usually the oring in the mid check area of the tool. Not the oring on the head of the tool by the fan but the oring that is on the sleeve. Replace this oring Paslode item# 404482 and that should do the trick.
Best,
Mark

Mark right the broken o ring rolls out of the groove and jams up not allowing the driver to retract all the way
