paslode framer problem

grrr,
I'm in the middle of framing up an addition, my paslode framer cycles but won't fire the nail. I smell the gas and hear the fan but... nothing. I took it apart and cleaned it. And it worked for a few minutes. It's almost like if I could figure out how to giggle the trigger it would fire. What is happening and why??? can I fix it myself? The clock is ticking. I've got two hundred dollars worth of nails for this gun.

Thanks,
sqrl

Air on bigger frames, maybe have the paslode out for certain things, but usually the paslode is for remodels where there are just a few nailers, or a small wall.

Did you check the date on the fuel cell? No one mentioned this yet but it's the most common solution to erratic firing problems with the Paslode cordless guns. If the fuel is fresh and it continues to operate poorly, a complete overhaul should fix the problem.

Could just be out of fuel too. When the can is low it will fire sometimes and not fire others. (Yes I learned this the hard way)

I have said it before, and I will say it again. All battery operated what have yous is good for the punch list guy, or the weekend warrior. If you use it on a big job you will have problems. They are not designed for use like that.

got air?

I'm a big fan of battery power, I run two Dewalts and one Passlode ( I prefer the Dewalt 628 )but USP45 is right for big jobs my recommendation - run the airline. For trim I loves ma battery guns.

Anyone ever tried the Bosch Bammer? We use to have it a few years ago and always seemed to get good reviews on it.
