Parts.....

Hello,

Just curious if anyone knows of a website that you can buy broken/damaged tools for parts. For instance I have a Dewalt miter saw that the locking pin broke and the replacement part is $460.00. I'd like to find someone that has that same saw but perhaps it's damaged beyone repair and I could take the part I need from it without having to pay an arm and a leg. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Try this place-

http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/dewalt/dewalt-19.html

A new locking pin is under $2.00. I don't know where you got $460 from?

Re: Parts.....

Sorry, it's not actually the locking pin that broke. It's the main piece that holds the locking pin. You have the buy the whole package in order to get the piece I need.....$460

I'm not looking for a place that sells parts and I more looking for a place that sells broken/damaged equipment that you can get parts off of.

Thanks for checking in to it for me though.

Did you look at the site anyways? Depending on your model, the trunnion runs from $65 to $99. I'd think it's a lot cheaper shipping a trunnion than it is a whole saw and you're running a risk of the same thing happening with a used saw part than a new part.

Edit- there is one model where I see what you mean. Model 708
