Your best bet would be to take a sidetrip to Adamo Dr. in Tampa. ENCO, now MSC is there 9212 Adamo Drive, Tampa.

This is a very large warehouse district, think DisneyWorld for US. Tampa is a very large P.O.E. If you go farther west, you run into the nudie bars and that is not a place for forigners.

Re: Orlando Tool Stores

Tools store are much less in Orlando. Good post for the construction people and also for the contractors!! By the way, have you heard of *******.com? It really simplifies finding affordable Contractors. I used it to find them for my building constructions. Essentially, after I described what I needed on this site, I received several competitive bids from local Contractors. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to call around and negotiate with each, and that Contractors actually came to me.

Im from UK as well Steve and i always used to look for tools when i come over here and never found any really good deals. I did however find toolking.com and they will ship to the UK. I ordered a lot of makita cordless gear from there and just used my step down transformer to run the chargers as this was always out when i was working on site anyway. Home depot and Lowes are ok and you may find some great stuff you wont find in the UK. If you do go in them take your time to look around them as some cool stuff is hidden around every corner.

The Utter guys in Sanford has a lot of tools on the showroom to choose from if you want a tool store that isn't Home Depot.

Re: Orlando Tool Stores

I moved away from that area about 5 years ago, but if you like DeWalt they used to have a service/sales center there with a pretty good-sized inventory. They sold strictly DeWalt and Black & Decker tools, but they stocked pretty much every tool in their product line if I remember right. I don't know if it's still around but I believe it was somewhere on West Colonial Drive.
