Cheers

Yea, my father was looking into the festool one, but Ill let him know about this if its cheaper

Also, once dewalt comes out with it, YOU KNOW everyone else will come out with a version, so I will probably wait a year or so and wait for a good selection, and the price to drop

DeWalt is 499.00 for the saw, 999.00 for cordless version. Festool TS-55 475.00 TS-75 575.00. There is a good review some where out there vs. TS-55.

That plus tax. Makita is making one too, along with mafell and metabo. I think they are all going to be a little more than the Festool, and lacking in the system that Festool lives by. They show something kinda scary with the Dewalt cutting a door off while still on the hinges.

yeah holy crap that is not something i would ever do with it. i cut doors all the time and it takes like 2 mins to pop the hinge and carry it to my bench. there really is no reason to ever cut a door that way.

the mafell was my first pick but i wound up with the festool for availablity of accessories. i liked mafell's roll up straight edge.

The array of gadgets for the Festool puts it leaps and bounds before the others, with mafell a close second. The new Mafell vacs are made by the same company that makes Bosch's. The old model of the Duo-Dowel machine is 50% off on Mafell's US site.
