Just a little update. This Milwaukee saw is worth every penny I paid for it. Def recommend this saw to those who are in the market for a new saw.....

i was at my local festool dealer today dropping coin on some systainers(my new addiction) and played with the kapex today!

laser are sweet and controls are ok! i didnt like the dust shroud and it gets in the way of molding on the fence standing up! dust collection is awsome though literally just minuet specals of dust left!..1300+ tax Nahh not today

im looking to chk out that new makita ls1016 it might just be the runner up! ive been looking for a good 10" saw so its definitly in my future!

that milwakee looks good, but i know someone who had the older magnum saw, and after the break in period or production use they tend to be sloppy and lose acuracy!!

Keep us posted!

The double button is kind of wierd at first, handle position is odd too. You sometimes have to pop that boot off for certain cuts.

It is a comfortable saw to use all day long though. It's nice to have friends with nice tools too!

And they have a stripped down model that is coming out end of year or something like that.

The new Makita looks kind of cool. I will never buy another makita miter saw after the ls1013 I had. Had saw for 4 months and the whole top assembly just fell off the back where it attached to the rails.

I also like that you can butt the Kapex against a wall, it does not take up much space, and light.

true it does fit nicely against the wall!

im thinking of mounting it to my trac rac saw stand!

i like makita, but i do not like most of there saws becuase i rarely cut on the flat!

and there is a makita service center 10 min from my house, those guys there fixed a few things on my lxt hammer drill ,no problem!

DAMN YOU FESTOOL== DAMN YOU!!

im hoping they,ll at least have some kind of promotion and throw in something with it!

i have 2 mft, the kapex mft is alittle shorter i noticed today!

your probably better off finding a used mft 1080 for the kapex, i think there the same height!

you think the mft 3 are good height..?

Yes I like the height of the MFT.
Yes the Kapex MFT is shorter but, with the saw on it, the bed of the saw is the same height as the MFT/3 tables. Holy out feed.

The bed of the saw sitting on the ground is the same height as a sys1, again portable out feed supports. They really over think things.

Hey now, he's a nice guy but, that crap is not legal around here.

Could we share tools though?

My old lady knows better than to bitch about me buying tools. Its the only thing I buy. I stopped buying clothes 2 years ago!!

Neo knows the other way I get all the fancy stuff.

I bought a few of the Sortainers this winter. I like them, I want a few more.

Do any of you actually take a Kapex out on the jobsite?
I couldn't do it . I don't think I could even put it in my van for transport .
i would love to have one in my garage but no way in hell I would take a $1300 saw on my jobsites .

My buddy takes his everywhere. I plan on doing the same. If it cant take it, Festool will make it right.

I would definitely NOT recommend the 12" Metabo mitre saw (KGS 305.) Two guys I know have one each, and those saws are far from accurate. The main problem is that the fence on one side of the blade is not parallel to the one on the other side.

I don't have one but I take tools far more expensive then that onto job sites. Why buy one and not use it as much as you possibly can? Besides it looks like it would be a very portable piece.
