New Makita SCMS

Has anyone seen the new LS1016 its on the Mak site but cant find anywhere else. just wondering about price. My kid tipped over my trusty bosch so I get to buy a new saw YEEE HAHHHHH

looks like they picked up the older Delta design...a nearly vertical motor with a cut out housing...

if it is anything like there other saws that give you 6 months of work, then pack it in, no thank you... Go Hitachi!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMO.....

Notice the saw uses 4 rails. 2 up top and 2 under the base.

I hate their SCMS that are newer than 5 years old. The old ones with the rubber condom around the slide rails was the last good saw they made. I had 2 fall apart after 6 months or so. One had the whole head assembly fall off, while I was using it, eeck!!

I have a Makita 10" that has lasted for years of heavy use and cuts like butter. Great SCMS's in my opinion.

This one looks very nice can't wait to here from someone about it.
