Anybody have one? We have quite a few circular saws, but I was thinking of giving this one a whirl. Never owned a Dewalt, used a friends and remarkably enough, liked it alot it. It wasnt this paticular model but a nice saw....Your input appreciated

Re: New Dewalt 575 Circular Saw

Picked up one over the weekend, haven't tried it out yet. Feels nice and lightweight, but still solid. I prefer the mag base and round motor housing of the older ones (this is aluminum and a squareish housing). I think the depth of cut is better on this one, the motor housing goes about as close to the base as possible. The depth adjustment guide is kinda difficult to read. Our dewalts have always had great smooth blade guards (even on angles where our makitas would get stuck), this one seems good too. They did cheap out by not including a case and rip guide. It does seem well built though. When i run it through some lumber I'll let you know how it works

Tools plus has it $20 cheaper although it is out of stock. You can get it on back order and just wait.
