My Started Custom/ Modified Miter Saw Stand

Hey guys got tired of my dewalt stand supports so I started modifying i I am not finished but here is what I have so far. Ideas are welcome....Both wings in the pic were 12' long going to be shortening one side down to maybe 8'-6" and the other probably 10'.

I figure I would throw this out there. Dewalt just released some new stands and accessories, these have been around for awhile in the UK. Glad to see we are getting them.

Re: My Started Custom/ Modified Miter Saw Stand

A while back, someone posted pics of a miter saw stand made from an old aluminum ladder. Looked pretty sturdy and also lightweight.

that was cole...and it doesn't have to be an old ladder. You basically just take plywood and make a platform for your saw and two taller platforms for work support.

Looks like a good start. Those Dewalt stands are great for short stock but awful for long stuff. I hate them and I have 2 of them.
