miter box need a lil help from experience

Here my question to you trim guys.

Im looking for a new miter box for pretty much just 4-5" base, casing, shoe etc. Nothing to crazy like custom stuff. Looking for something with a stand I can set up and do a whole house that can easly be moved back to the truck. I have a small cheap miter box ive been using and it isnt cutting it specially since I have a trim job with stain trim I want cuts to be smooth and clean.

Any idea's I was thinking the dewalt? Anything high quality in the 250-350 Price range. Thanks.

I have a DeWalt 10" slide I like it quite well, if you dont want a slide then I would suggest the DeWalt 10" dual bevel

The dewalt non-slides and smaller slides are pretty nice (the 718, the current 12" slider is junk). If I was buying a non slider or a 10 or 8 inch slider, that's probably what I would go with.

Dont forget a forrest "chopmaster" or a ridge carbide "radial" will make that just about any of the smaller saws cut like a dream

Well I went shopping to today at lowes just to look and see what they have and found one that really impressed me but was a little pricey.

Its the DEWALT DW716 DOUBLE-BEVEL COMPOUND MITER SAW 12"

It was a little over kill for 379$ but they had a display set up where if you bought this saw you'd recieve the very nice (200$) dewalt miter box clamp stand.

I couldnt help it so I grabbed both went to ring out the cashier says somethings up and calls the manager. Manager says that the free stand only comes with the 650$ dewalt miter box I was bummed, but since there display was wrong they let me have 375$ saw with a free stand.

I tried it out on a little bit of scrap and wow all I can say is im digging the saw and the stand is just amazing.
