Milwaukee 14.4-Volt 1/4" Hex Driver

Anybody have experience using cordless 1/4" hex drivers? I saw somebody using a Panasonic EY6506 12 V 1/4" bit impact driver and it seamed to work real well at driving screws. It seams to be a cool tool because it is smaller and easier to get in tight areas as compared to a regular cordless drill with a screwdriver bit in it. I was wondering which one is better the Milwaukee or the Panasonic or some other brand.

While neveer personally using a Milwaukee, I did read a shoot out between 14V impact drivers and the top 2 in order were Hitachi and then Panasonic and I cannot recall 3rd-? place.

2 things that I will say is 1. after I purchased mine I wondered why I had not bought one sooner, these things are the chit to say the least and work great for a multiude of tasks. and 2. Mikwaukee makes great tools as it is so I cannot see why their impact driver would be any lesser of a tool from their current line up. Would definately be a same investment and one will will probably buy another of after you use it.

I use pretty much all DeWalt, so I can't comment on Milwaukee. But I am on my fourth impact already. I bought one years ago when they first came out. They were alot bigger then, more like a regular screwgun. Once you get used to noise, you will never use a regular driver again for screws & lags.

You may want to look over some of the previous threads in the Tools Forum as this has been brought up a LOT. However, not it awhile and we ALL like to talk about tools. So, here's my opinion...

I bought an 18V Hitachi impact driver last year and has pretty much made my cordless drill obsolete when it comes to driving screws. I liked it so much that when they came out with the new lithium-ion batteries, I went out and bought another one this week!

I can't speak to the Panasonic but you can't go wrong with Milwaukee.

I bought the 18v lithium ion Makita. It is great. I use it for all of the deck framing up to railing. Battery life is almost 3 to one compared to my fathers 14v makita driver. I would never use a drill to drive a screw again.
