I bought the Hilti PLS-22 when my PLS-2 died an untimely death. The Hilti is a lot more rugged than the PLS lasers, and can actually survive having a 2x4 fall on it.

Explain what you mean by untimely death, I was under the impression that it takes a nuclear hit to take out a Hilti.

The untimely death happened to my PLS-2 laser, made by Pacific Laser Systems. A two x four fell on it and ended it's life.

That sucks. Have you used any of the Hilti cordless stuff? I was looking at the hammer drill and the impact wrench. My boss only believes in buying cordless.

I just bought an SFH-181-A cordless hammer drill a few weeks ago, best cordless drill I have ever used. I highly recommend Getting the version with Ni Mh batteries, they hold a charge twice as long as most Ni Cd.
