Re: Laser Levels

I bought a Trimble Spectra LL300 3/32" in 100ft...it has been really good for us. It was under $1000 with the tri pod and survey rod...Thats in Canada too, in the states you should be able to get it for a lot cheaper...

3/32" in 100 is plenty accurate for what we use it for...If you do the math, a 48" Stabila Level with an accuracy of +/- .029*, would be out nearly 5/8" in 100ft...but also, a box level and a laser are 2 entirely differant tools

Re: Laser Levels

At 1500 feet wouldn't you want to be using a theodolite/auto level?

Re: Laser Levels

just picked up a Leica Detector LLD2, works great with my PLS 180.

I couldn't find a PLS dealer in my city, so I took my pls 180 into the Leica dealer and we tried it there. About 1/2 the price of the PLS detector.

Re: Laser Levels

I have the PLS 90 with a detector and love it for layout. No faster way to get two perpendicular lines.
