Hitachi NR83A2 Hanger bracket installation???

I just purchased a Hitachi NR83A2 and bought the truss hanger that mounts on the side. None of the holes line up when you take off the bracket that secures to the magazine. Do you have to drill a couple new holes? Does it matter where you drill the holes exactly or just in the general area of the bracket that holes the magazine to the clip? The instructions on the back of the hanger box totally suck! I know its kinda hard to picture if you do not have this exact gun, any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Not in a big hurry to drill extra holes in a nail gun that's going to out live me. FYI gun works awesome, my grandfather gave my dad his NR83A its probably 50 years old and still works flawlessly.

I'm thinking that gun
is not as old as you think.

Nail guns didn't start to
get big until the '70s.
Japanese tools didn't have
much presence 'til the ' 80s.

The Hitachis changed the hole pattern where that mounts. You have the hanger for the NR83A. Sorry to tell you the bad news.

Problem Solved read on.

Thanks for the help. On the package it says NR83, but I figured they would be universal. I'll have to look into the right bracket, thanks again.

Problem solved the bracket that I purchased with the nail gun fits my Skill saw. The right bracket is from Toolbarn.com and it's The Original Retractable I Joist Nailgun Hanger model #70306 with the lime green label. They specify the label color so you know you have the one your looking for easily. Thanks for the help.
