hitachi fixed/plunge router kit

just picked up the kit yesterday morning, played around with it this morning, and all I can say, what a piece of crap, I'm taking it back for the PC. It was the most non ergonomic unbalanced, cumbersome piece of junk I've ever seen, and the plunge base is just plain chincey junque

I haven't used it but Bosch seems to have a pretty nice plunge/fixed kit available too. I love all of my other Bosch stuff so I would imagine the quality is great. The best router I have ever used is my Festool 1400EQ....after it everything else feels like junk. You could buy two others for the price of it though

My 2 cents, the best routers made are porter cable,i have some that are as old as 20 years, with original brushes.Mostly every cabinet shop i've ever worked at ,thats all they use.
