HD Black Friday sales

I got a sneak peek at the HD flyer and was thinking about picking up a Makita 18V Hammer drill/Impact driver combo. It is going for $199.00 Was wondering if this is really as good a deal as I think it is. I am about ready to toss my old cordless. The other option is a 18V Dewalt with 2 batteries and charger for $100. I have only owned garbage until now, but I have seen the light and am looking to get some quality, just wondering what everyone feels the best bargin would be.

I just got my Plasma TV from watching the ads on this site.

Friday update

Just wanted to let you know, I decided on the Makita, bought it this morning and worked it hard all day. I have to say for $200, this is one of the best buys I have had in 2 years. I am thinking about going back tomorrow and picking up another one to have on hand. I got a good laugh out of everyone in there this morning. It is amazing how many people just want to buy staff because they think its a deal. One person in there this morning was asking the clerks what each tool did, because her husband was a contractor and she was looking for a christmas present (she walked out with 2 Ryobi starter sets) I almost asked her if I could come over Christmas morning to watch her husband not open 1, but 2 tools that he will pawn. IMO this Makita set is a great deal. You can still pick these up for a couple days.

At Lowes today there were pallets of Warner 4 ft. ladders all over the store reg price 69.00 on sale for 24.00. The blue fiberglass 250 lb.rated.
Everyone walking out of the store had a blue 4 ft. ladder with them. It was actually funny. Of course I had to get one also.

stupid deals

Yeah that was a great deal. They had a husky at HD today. It was a good deal, but my buddy told me that one guy walked out with 6 (he was talking to him in line). Told him that he only needed 2 one for him and one for his son, but got an extra 4 just in case. Here we go back to the years of bomb shelters.

Google the model #. Guaranteed, you will find a much better price, free shipping & the same warranty. I only purchase from stores in an emergency. Amazon & Ebay get most of my tool dollars.

I remember, fondly, my Dad doing the "Battery Thing" on Christmas Morn!

Except back then they were "D" or "C" size. How times change and not at all!
