sounds like ya need a cleaning and a new battery, check the feeder in the magazine make sure there is no saw dust or anything gumming up in there. I use a air gun and blow it out when ever possible

I am getting a weird sense of deja-a-vue, didn't you ask about this awhile ago? If not, both have some good advice above - tools & batteries will wear out

Give it a good cleaning & a new battery.

But before you spend much on it get one of the orange models.

i think its time to retire the black gun. dont waste money on a battery or anything.
get a newer orange gun, which is a lot more reliable.

man obviously telling him to upgrade was my first thought, but generally when people ask for help with the old black model means they want to keep it. But seriously invest in a newer model.
