Finish Nailer Problem
I've got a Grex air finish nailer that doesnt seem to be driving nails as well as it should. It doesn't bury the head like it used to and when it fires there is a noticable "whoosh" of air that never used to be there. I'm guessing maybe it needs a service/new seals, what do you think? Having never worked on it before is it a straightforward job? I'm not afraid to strip it out if its the right thing to do.
Thanks Nick |

Re: Finish Nailer Problem
Nick,
I had the same problem with the one I use. It is not the same brand, but most of them require the same care. I shot a little W-D40 in the air end, and it got rid of my problem. Also I'm sure you know that most of them can be ajusted for the depth of the nails.: Keith |

Re: Finish Nailer Problem
If that doesn't work, - - most of 'em sell a (gun-specific) re-build kit with directions and the necessary O-rings and such, - - it'll usually only run you about $15 or $20 and is simple enough to do.
