Festool Plunge Saw And Vac

just wanted to let guys know, who have been thinking about buying the TS 75 and dust extractor kit, that it's a great tool!. pricey, but for anyone installing cabinets or making built-ins on jobsites, it's a must.
the coolest thing is that for most of the time, you dont have to clamp the guide rail down. it's got these anti slip strips on the bottom that keep it in place, i wasn't a believer until i tried it and the rail never moved. i'm sure if youa re cutting a smaller lighter piece of ply/stock then you would clamp the guide down, otherwise, it's not necessary.
I got the model 22 vac because it's got the same power as the 33 but it's not as high and fits better into the truck.
i havn't had it long but the work i have done, has shown me this is a worthwhile investment. it gets almost all the dust from the saw, which is great when you need to cut indoors. You can tell how well made the saw is by just holding it.
I plan on getting their jigsaw/orbital sander in the near future, but I won't be converting to all festool tools, i like my drills and other tools that I have. the jig saw is supposed to be able to cut thicker stock and never have any give in the blade so you get really straight and accurate cuts.

Re: Festool Plunge Saw And Vac

Since I moved to Europe I gotta say that the festool machines are really the best. That sanders ,dropsaws, routers are really good ,the jigsaws don't fit in the hand as nice as the bosch . Also the Festool service in Germany licks ,hopefully better in North America
