Dewalt Vs Metabo

I may not be comparing apples to apples here, but I'm getting ready to plunk down the hard-earned dollars for a 12" dual bevel, compound miter saw. I'm attracted to the cut capacity of the Dewalt 718, but have read a few negative reviews about the fit and finish. The Metabo looks like a gem, though it's shy of Dewalts cut capacity.
Anyone have any first hand knowledge about either saw?
Thanks,
Rob

Re: Dewalt Vs Metabo

Anybody saying fit and finish of Dewalts miter saws is lacking must be use to Swiss built saws or something ridiculous. Their miter saws are f-in bomb proof, totally well built, totally customizable and excellent tools. I've looked at lots of competitors saws and the 718 is top of the line. They will make you lots of money. The 718 is the Mac Daddy. I just missed buying it today at the Home Depot Supply House going out of business, one left and some Jack off was going over it with a fine tooth comb making sure, I'm sure that it was going to look good on his Harry Home Owner Garage shelf as it gathered dust from lack of use.

I've got the non slider dual bevel and that saw is one of the best tools I have ever bought. It stays true and accurate no matter how much I abuse it.
