Re: DeWalt Recall

Dewalt is a joke on this. No service center within 2 hours of me, so they will send me a pre-paid shipping label which takes 10-14 days to recieve, then I send in my tool and wait another week to get it back.

Unacceptable. Anyone got the number for the CEO's office? I'd love to give him a call and explain that professional grade tools require a professional grade customer service response.

Wasn't two minutes ago I just posted how I HATE DeWalt tools now and wish someone'd steal mine so I can replace them with Bosch.
Worst tech support on the planet and their tools are following in the vert footsteps of Crapsman...
Hey...nice beard btw. Yer not in a band I know of are ya...lol.

My point was...thats how Crapsman started. They actually used to be a good company.
I haven't heard so many trades people speak so badly of DW's service and declining tool quality as I have in the past cpl of years...and I USED TO be a big yellow fan...now this fan is just getting blown away.

Re: DeWalt Recall

Sears Craftsman? They've never made their own stuff.. Always bid out to other companies.. Unfortunately many of those companies are now going with Chinese manufactures.. and Chinese manufactures have tremendous QA problems.

I know this. I was working for a tech company for 5 years and having to deal with Chinese manufacturing for most of that.

They change parts mid-run without proper testing, AND they don't tell you about it until after you get it in the chute for shipping.

You are lucky if you had the same contact at a company for more than 3 months.

A lot of large name brands are getting bit by this.
