I use Dewalt and Porter Cable in my wood shop. Again it depends on how much you plan to use it and how much you want to spend. Whatever you decide on I would definitely get one with the duel bases.

i use the hitachi w/ optional plunge base and love it. its the quietest in its class and you will really notice it. im goin tomorrow to hd to get the bosch trim router w/ gift cards.gotta love inlaws!!!!

I have a bosch w/ softstart-great machine. consider the motor size for what you'll be doing-large bits need more power :-)
